Skillsets

The following is a list of skills possessed by the thermal team, which members will pick up along the way:

• Heat transfer concepts
• Thermal nodal modelling
• Thermal modelling in Siemens NX
• Understanding of TVAC testing procedure and requirements
• Understanding of Bakeout and Cleanliness Control procedure and requirements
• Component sourcing and outreach
• Writing formal reports and documents

Onboarding

1. If you haven’t already, go through the CB-01: General Member Guideline

2. Join the #thermal-systems, #general, #systems, #random, and any other subsystems you’re interested in on the Slack channel.

3. Get familiar with the Thermal homepage.

4. Read through our Introduction to Thermal Theory Guide (found in the Onboarding folder on Thermal’s Google Drive)

5. Complete the Thermal Onboarding Activity

6. Have a look at the various projects in thermal (Thermal Subsystem Projects ) and think about which ones interest you. Schedule a Rice with Riann (Riann Po) meeting to discuss what you’ll be doing on Thermal
