Description

Ansys Zemax OpticStudio allows the simulation, optimisation, and tolerance of our optical build(s) to aid in component sourcing, experimental analysis, and requirements definition.

Goals

See Optics Build I - Optical Simulation and Optics Build III - Optical Simulation.

Setup

This section will take you through the setup process required to run Zemax on the UTAT Remote Machine .

  1. Connect to UTAT VPN: The Zemax license manager we use to give us access to our floating licenses is running on the UTAT server. Connection instructions can be found on OpenVPN.
  2. Run Zemax: If the preceding steps were executed successfully, you should be able to launch Zemax OpticStudio and start using it. If something goes awry, see the debugging section.
