  2024-06-22 FINCH ASSEMBLY DISCUSSION

  • working on getting an updated CAD
  • The goal: want a full assembly (CAD) by the IDR
  • two sections to FINCH: top and bottom subassembly
  • 85% done
  • Concern: SRS4 model might be bigger than real life.
  • Mech will decide on cutout placements for Electrical
  • Concern: mounting plate for the SRS4 needs to match the SRS4 model
  • Right now: ADCS connectors and SRS4 connectors are on the same side, RF connectors are on the other side
  • Urgent: potential miscommunication between optics and mech, 175mm height is not correct, which mech was worried about
  • FLIR Tau size and mounting is very concerning.
  • Concern: Optics may not be ready with their design by the end of summer
    • Mech requires CAD done to finish phase C by the end of summer, which means optics needs to pick parts and constrain their design before the end of summer
    • Optics suspects they won’t be able to close their design even by the end of summer

  • Clean bench is allowed by Myhal as opposted to a full on clean room in the lab
  • Concern: where and how to obtain filters. May need to add filters to recurring budget
  • Myhal restrictions: no weird chemical reactions
  • Concern: does not come with table, so where table
