The purpose of this page is to organize work currently assigned to team members, including information on dependencies and deadlines. We are currently within the Epic “Phase C: Detailed Design” (see more, ). Within this Epic we have several stories, which correspond to high-level projects. Within each story there are individual chapters, which correspond to tasks that take up to a month to complete.

As a rule of thumb, the scope of each chapter is proportioned so that general members could complete between 1- 3 chapters per semester. Upon completion, chapters are sent for review by the team lead. Typically, team leads will identify areas for further work before the story can be marked as “complete”, and after a few rounds of review the assignee can move on to other tasks.

Once all the chapters in a story have been completed, the contents are discussed either within a dedicated subsystem (optics) meeting. If the story merits serious attention, it will be presented in an internal design review meeting between UTAT subsystems that have a stake in that story.

The completion of an epic is presented at Critical Design Reviews, during which the whole of UTAT SS decides whether completion requirements have been met or not. You can consult the Project Management framework for more information.
