License and Grant Timeline

⚖️ Overview There are 4 licenses and one ground station site approval we need to obtain

1. Export License (GAC)
2. Remote Sensing License (GAC)
3. Satellite Frequency License (ISED & ITU)
   1. ITU Application
   2. ISED Satellite Application (Space Station Spectrum License)
   3. ISED Ground Station Application (ISED-approved Earth Stations Spectrum License)
   4. ISED Site Approval for a Fixed Earth Station
4. United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) Registration

• Export License: permission to export to the United States/another country for launch
• Remote Sensing License: for permission to image over Canada. This is a license for operating a Remote Sensing Space System (RSSS).
• Satellite Frequency License: for permission to communicate with the satellite
• United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) Registration: To meet the UN convention, Canada must register space objects under its jurisdiction.
