Getting Started with Attitude Planning
Requirements Optics x Data Processing x ADCS
Background: Attitude describes the satellites orientation in space. The attitude can be controlled by different mechanisms, in the ADCS 10-m it includes 3-axis magnetorquer for large movements and control moment gyroscope for finer movement. This means attitude planning is a critical component in planning the satellite’s maneuvers during key operations, specifically imaging, downlink, and calibration.
Purpose: Through attitude planning we can figure out want commands we need to provide the satellite and how much time we have/need to complete maneuvers.
Attitude Pipeline
Continue to develop the attitude planning pipeline in Python. The goal is to have a system that goes from imaging path requirements to an optimized path we can uplink to FINCH.
