  • Looked into temperature sensor locations
  • Tab in spreadsheet for distances needed for leads
  • Recall one of the requirements being having a temperature sensor on each panel
    • Q: Does this mean we can only have 1 sensor on each panel
    • A: The requirement is at least one sensor. We can have multiple

  • Looking at HERONs battery heater design
    • Documentation of specific heaters that they went with
    • Team struggled with overheating
      • Batteries were running hot ( a little over 100 degrees C)
      • The only way to prevent this is MLI but this didn’t work for HERON because MLI was implemented well
      • Can try surface design to mitigate this
      • Other heaters + thermal strap might be an option
      • Steady state battery temperature model - Google Sheets
