Overview
Thermo-optical tape is a form of passive thermal control for spacecraft that has specific absorptance and emittance properties, allowing it to carefully control the amount of heat that is absorbed or emitted. This is used on the outer panels of a satellite to maintain its temperature within an acceptable range.
