Where are we
-
The spacecraft has just been inserted into orbit by the carrier rocket
-
The spacecraft is inside the dispenser, and is about to be ejected

1. Spacecraft deployed/deployment switch released
FMEA Considerations
- The spacecraft has reached the incorrect orbit — nothing we can do about it :)
- Deployment failure
- Failure to eject from P-POD (cubesat dispenser) — immediate end of mission
- Electrical failure which prevents all of the MCUs from starting — immediate end of mission
- Mechanical damage to spacecraft — it depends really
- Tracking failure from the ground
- Perform a broad-range sweep of the sky using our ground station and attempt to locate FINCH. If we cannot do so, the mission is lost.
Operations
Spacecraft just got ejected from the carrier rocket, currently we are running on battery power and nothing is powered on at this moment.
During this time, the launch provider will be calculating initial state vectors (i.e. position and velocity) and relaying them to UTAT in a couple of days.

1.2 Power On
FMEA Considerations:
- Insufficient power to power on all systems
- Attempt to power on only {OBC, ADCS}, and attempt to point the solar panels at the Sun. Proceed with full power-on after receiving sufficient charge
- Battery gets too hot while trying to power things on
- Halt power-on procedures, and resume after battery has cooled down.
- Potentially re-orient spacecraft for better thermal dissipation
- Power-on timer fails to send power-on signal — loss of mission
