Soldering Station Usage

Soldering Station
- Never store food and drink on or beside the soldering station
- Never consume food or drink in proximity to the soldering station
- After using the soldering station, leave it clean and better than you found it!
While Soldering
- Always use adequate ventilation to remove soldering fumes
- Avoid inhalation of fumes while soldering
- Always return the iron to the stand when not in use — never put it on the workbench
- You may wish to use PPE such as safety glasses to prevent solder spatter from causing injury
- Use tools such as vices and third hands to prevent burns while soldering
After Soldering
- Tin the soldering iron tip prior to storage
- Turn off all soldering equipment
- Discard soldering debris (excess wires, trimmed leads, etc) in the Solder Waste bucket
- Wipe down soldering area with IPA or water and a towel or wipe to remove soldering dust
- Wash your hands, especially prior to eating or drinking
