Once you have received access, please confirm the following:
- [ ] Confirm Slack access to
#opto-mech and opto-mech-threads
- [ ] Confirm Notion access — you should be able to view all linked subpages on the Opto-Mech home page
- [ ] Confirm Sibe PDM access — log in and open any existing FINCH assembly to verify it works
- Please DO NOT check any parts or assemblies in or out—they’ll be blocked; just download and mess around with locally
- [ ] Confirm SolidWorks 2024 is installed (or that you've sent me your UofT email to get it)
- [ ] Add yourself to the Team Roster
If anything above doesn't work, Slack me before moving on (San Vo). Don't waste your summer break time troubleshooting alone!
- [ ] Read the FINCH Mission Handbook (under Onboarding on the Notion home page) — focus on payload section, skim the rest
- [ ] Read Opto-Mechanical (in a snapshot) — this is the quick orientation to what our subteam owns
- [ ] Read the Opto-Mechanical Onboarding Guide
- [ ] Skim the Team Contract (Updated W26) so you know our norms
- [ ] Browse the OptoMech Knowledge Base — note which pages exist; don't read them all
- [ ] Skim the Mechanism Depot and Design Reviews — same idea, just know what's there
- [ ] Glance at the Risk Register so you know it exists and where to find it
