Welcome to RF & Ground Station!

We form the invisible connection between Earth and space through which information (mostly in the form of bits) can be channeled through. We exploit the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum to achieve this. Moreover, these EM channels can only be used in a certain way, and our team takes care of doing all the necessary transformations to shape the signals. At the end, you are left with a full black-box system that accepts bits on earth and replicates them on the satellite, and vice-versa!

The RF & Ground Station team is currently making an onboarding lecture series (including onboarding projects) for new members to teach them Antenna Design and Digital Signal Processing that is relevant to what we do here at UTAT. This is expected to be finished by the end of August 2026.
