Logistics:
- Message #leadership-development on Slack and have Rosie approve to be posted to #general
- “Hey @channel! The mentorship program is running a Scavenger Hunt social at Banting next Saturday, October 22nd at 3 pm (during the general worksession) for mentors and mentees, but everyone is welcome to participate. If you are a new member, we encourage you to attend and if you are someone working on a project with a new member, we strongly encourage you to reach out to them to complete the challenge together! This will be a great opportunity to get to know other Space Systems members and the exciting work going on across all subsystems, and there will be yummy prizes [insert emoji].
- We’ll do a short icebreaker in the Banting lecture room (first floor) at 3 pm, and then split up into teams (mentor/mentee, or with a partner) for the scavenger hunt itself (roughly 30 min).
- React with :partyparrot: if you’re planning on coming!
- Icebreaker: Write your name and subsystem on the paper provided, and fold into a paper airplane. First group throws airplane, second group each pick up one airplane and finds the person who threw it. After 2 minutes, switch.
- Can buy timbits right before or during
- Google Form for submission
Potential Dates
- Saturday, October 22, 2022 @ 3 PM

Notes
- Mandatory for mentors and mentees, mentors will let us know in advance if their mentees cannot attend to gauge numbers for the activity (leads can come if they want)
Description
- Have some fun initiatives/activities for the mentors/mentees to take part in soon after making the pairing to encourage a closer relationship and foster 'psychological safety' from the start.
