FINCH Orbit is responsible for selecting the target orbit for the mission. In addition, we perform mission analysis based on the spacecraft’s planned trajectory, to inform other systems about how to design the spacecraft to function in orbit.

DEACTIVATION NOTICE

Fall 2022 will be the last semester of technical operations for Orbit. December 3rd will be our final meeting and will mark the deactivation of the Orbit subsystem on the FINCH mission. This page will remain here as reference for the rest of FINCH’s mission operations and for future missions.

Orbit has completed all major objectives needed for FINCH, and is de-orbiting as a result.
