- You can only exit a mode when the mode’s job is finished, another mode with a higher priority is available, or there is an error. Any error will result in the spacecraft going into safety mode with an interrupt exit
- When in command mode, the spacecraft is idling and ready to enter another mode
- When in charging, if the battery becomes full, the spacecraft will go back to Command
- When a mode is fully completed (e.g. downlinking has sent all the data down) the mode goes back to Command and looks for the next highest priority
