Modes of Operations

There at FIVE (5) main modes of operations on FINCH
1. Idle
2. Imaging
3. Downlinking
4. Processing
5. Safety
There are Passive and Follow-Through modes
- Passive modes are modes that can be exited any time for a higher priority mode
- Follow-Through modes are modes that can only be left when they finish or when an error occurs

On-Orbit Processing	Imaging
	Downlinking

You can only exit a mode when the mode’s job is finished, another mode with a higher priority is available, or there is an error. Any error will result in the spacecraft going into safety mode with an interrupt exit
When in command mode, the spacecraft is idling and ready to enter another mode
When in charging, if the battery becomes full, the spacecraft will go back to Command
When a mode is fully completed (e.g. downlinking has sent all the data down) the mode goes back to Command and looks for the next highest priority
