Saturday, May 14 Summer Kickoff Meeting

HERON Systems Task Tracker

New teams and members:

• Goal is for assembly and software to be wrapped in Toronto by end July (2.5 months from now)
  • Assembly and Testing at the farm to occur through August
• Time commitment: Weekly 30 minute sync up (4 - 4:30pm), with deadlines in the task tracker. Otherwise, I'm estimating about 2 - 3 hours of focussed work per week, but it's on you and your teammates to coordinate.
• Teams need access to Banting (Software) and Myhal (AIT). Ask Prachi, David, or Yong Da to let you in.
• Today: Quickly runthrough the projects, how they align, and assign first tasks.

Saturday, May 7 Ground Station Meeting

Attendees: Ben, Prachi, Jaden, David

• For David:
  • Could use car, maybe Friday after work, to drop cinderblocks in Myhal for assembly
  • Could work on RF software
• Rough plan for summer:
  • GND station AIT done end of July
  • GND station testing at the farm over August
• Could reach out to Kepler for advice on how to set up remote ground stations
• Opportunity for Ketan to mentor ground station as an advisor

Questions:

• Will we be able to recycle this GND station for FINCH?
  • Yes. If we use the two-band communications scheme, one of those bands would be compatible with this hardware.
• How will passes and automation work?
  • Want to be as automated as possible. Probably will involve a queue of commands that we manually populate by remote connection, then those commands are executed in the next pass.
