Description

FreeFlyer is a software application developed by AI Solutions that's used for space mission design, analysis, and operations. It is primarily used by organizations like NASA, the United States Air Force, and commercial companies for the purpose of satellite mission analysis. The software can model, simulate, and analyze space vehicles such as satellites and their subsystems.

Usage

There are two ways to use FreeFlyer:

  1. Personal license
  2. Team license (recommended)

Personal License

If you would like to use a personal license, you can head to the official website and create an account for free if you are a university student. FreeFlyer will approve your registration in a few days.

Team License

To use our team license, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the official website and register a personal FreeFlyer account. FreeFlyer will approve your registration in a few business days
  2. Once your registration is approved, download the FreeFlyer installer from FreeFlyer Downloads
  3. Install FreeFlyer
  4. Connect to the team OpenVPN
  5. Launch FreeFlyer
  6. In the “Register a New FreeFlyer License” window Registration Method, select Connect to License Server
  7. For the Host Name, enter 10.0.1.150
  8. For the Port, enter 27000
  9. Click Register License File
  10. Type the license server computer name into the “Primary Network Server” – “Host Name” field, and select the port to connect to in the “Primary Network Server” – “Port” field.
