Description

Right now, the EPS (electrical power system) has been split into parts and every team member is making one part of it. At the end of the semester, once all the parts have been tested individually, we want to connect all of them and test them together. It’s important that we approach that task with a clearly defined plan. Here’s the start of one: ‣. It’s your job to make this much more detailed. Two things to keep in mind:

Tasks

A list of sequential tasks for the project. The project is complete when all tasks are complete

Notes

Space for research notes, open questions, progress logs

Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is to test and validate the parts in the EPS for the purpose of gaining knowledge about system-level testing, for the sake of knowledge transfer, and to have a functioning EPS system for FINCH as we continue to rev our design based on power budget requirements.

Differences between old EPS and current EPS

• Battery pack configuration has changed to 2s2p

• Uses fuel gauge instead of BMS

Notes:

• Refer to the system diagrams on the Power page

• MPPT and Battery Charger Eval Board are on one board and go to two places

• Deployment Switch and Buck Converter in points 2 and 6 are the same
