If you don’t already have an Altium account:
Create an education account with Altium using this link: https://www.altium.com/education/student-licenses
Be sure to follow the instructions to gain access to both the license and the educational materials.
🚨You cannot use an account that was previously used in a different company/organization (like ECE295). Make a new account using something like [email protected]
Once you have your account set up, DM the current Electrical Lead with the email that you signed up with to add you to UTAT workspace. This is where you can gain access to our designs and parts libraries.
Alternative: If you can’t or don’t want to do the educational route, we can add you to our organization that has a few floating licenses. DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT and instead should DM the current Electrical Lead with your email to be added to our organization. An account will be created for you. You should be able to still access the free trainings at https://education.altium.com/ (choose “Just Curriculum”)
A pretty solid resource is Altium’s own learning videos https://education.altium.com/.
Altium’s documentation is good for specific questions as well: https://www.altium.com/documentation/
YouTube has a plethora of useful videos, such as here and here. This is a great overview to using Altium. It covers the design of a PCB from start to finish.
