Description

A detailed description of the scope and motivation for this project, as well as any relevant resources

Load Sharing this part has already been design and is part of our board. However, it’s not AEC-Q100 qualified. Your job is to find a chip that is AEC-Q100 rated and make a board for it.

Tasks

A list of sequential tasks for the project. The project is complete when all tasks are complete

I can’t guarantee that it’ll work, but here’s how I would approach this project: I would look up the existing non-automotive part on DigiKey to figure out what category this type of IC is usually classified under (as described here Part Selection Tips ). Now that I have this vocabulary, I would make a list of the common IC vendors (TI, LT, etc.) and go through their product indexes in addition to the DigiKey and Mouser product indexes and try to find all the relevant options. Finally, I’d made a list where I link each part that looks relevant on the surface level and list the reason why it won’t work (as done here MPPC Chip Design) until I find one that works or until I’ve been through all the product indices and so I can confidently say that we should use the non-automotive part.
