Main Goal

By early December 2026, have a working integrated system that includes the SRS-4 and the Ground Station. SRS-4 should transmit and receive signal using the dual patch antenna. The SDR should process signals from the ground station antenna.

Antenna Team

  1. 🔁 Test the FR-4 Antenna and validate measurements with HFSS simulation

  2. Document the Antenna Testing

    1. Equipments, setup, measurements, simulation, analysis
  3. Design Rogers Antenna (This is TBD, we can work with SRS-4 in parallel)

    1. Link Budget analysis to determine Rogers Antenna requirements
    2. Submit/Prepare for regulation
    3. Research Antenna designs
    4. Simulate Antenna designs
    5. Assemble Rogers Antenna
    6. Test Rogers Antenna (Integrate with Pluto and/or Blade SDR)
  4. Document the Rogers Antenna Design Cycle

  5. Integrate with SRS-4

DSP Team

  1. 🔁 Finalize the SDR’s GNU Radio architecture

    1. 🔁 Wired Testing
      1. Pluto to Pluto, Pluto to Blade, Blade to Blade SDRs to have a BER = 0
      2. Test with audio signals instead of random signals
    2. Wireless Testing (Integrate with FR-4 Antenna)
      1. Pluto to Pluto, Pluto to Blade, Blade to Blade SDRs to have a BER = 0
      2. Test with audio signals instead of random signals
    3. Test the software’s reliability (i.e. test edge cases)
  2. Document SDR’s GNU Radio architecture

  3. Determine the SDRs that’ll be implemented with the S-Band ground station

  4. Determine SDR’s Noise Figure and the minimum transmit power for BER = 0. Notify Antenna team for Link Budget Analysis
